Caitlin Jordan
Resident Artist / Dancer
Caitlin is a founding member of alight dance theater. She trained under the direction of Maureen Miller and Sharon Mercke at the Loudoun School of Ballet in Leesburg, VA. During that time, she performed exclusively with the school's ballet and jazz companies and participated in the Tanzsommer tour in Austria in 2002. Caitlin also attended the Joffrey New York Summer Intensive. She holds a B.A. in Dance with concentrations in ballet and jazz from Point Park University where she performed works by Nicolas Petrov, Doug Bentz, Sema Konur, and her own work in collaboration with Maeghan Flynn. Caitlin currently works as a Dance/ Gymnastics coach at the Loudoun Gymnastics Center in Sterling, VA. She is also working to earn her Pilates certification.
Caitlin will be performing in Monica Warren Schaeffer's Shadowmark at Next Reflex Dance Collective's Places in Space program at Dance Place in Washington, D.C. on June 18 and 19, 2011. She is also cast in Angella Foster's Truth Be Told, which will premiere at Dance Place in Washington, D.C. on January 21 & 22, 2012 and then be restaged for the Greenbelt Arts Center on February 17 & 18, 2012.
